When it comes to breakfast, the Mile-High city DELIVERS. From gourmet delis to brunch to farmers markets and more, there’s something for every vibe. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, here are some of the best breakfast spots in Denver, CO that you won’t want to miss!
The Cookery at Myrtle Hill
Location: 1020 S Gaylord St, Denver, CO 80209
Why It’s a Hit: If you’re looking for a cozy sit-down breakfast spot in Denver that delivers every time, The Cookery at Myrtle Hill needs to be on your radar. Located in Wash Park, this spot is owned by the same folks behind Devil’s Food Bakery and is known for comfort food with a creative twist.
What to Order: The quiche is phenomenal, along with the burritos and breakfast bowls. The French toast is a must for the table!
Call Your Mother Deli
Locations: 3880 Tennyson St, Denver, CO 80212, 1291 N Pearl St, Denver, CO 80203, 217 S Holly St, Denver, CO 80246, 567 E Louisiana Ave, Denver, CO 80210
Why It’s a Hit: Perfect if you’re looking for a casual spot where you can order at the counter. Not only are they some of the best bagels I’ve had outside of NYC, the convenience of 4 locations throughout Denver is hard to beat.
What to Order: Known for their bagels made fresh every day, Call Your Mother has a wide variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches to choose from. If you’re a turkey sausage girlie (or guy) like me, order The Thunderbird. Also a great place to grab a latte.
Farmers Market at Highlands Square
Location: W 32nd Ave & Lowell Blvd, Denver, CO 80211
Why It’s a Hit: My absolute favorite Sunday tradition May through October is to head over to Highlands Square for the farmers market. It’s the perfect excuse to get out of the house if you’re local and a cute area to check out if you’re visiting.
What to Order: With so many different vendors, there’s something for everyone, making it a great option if the group can’t make a decision. Grab a coffee, pastries, toasts, breakfast burritos, crêpes, breakfast pizzas, you name it.
Petunia Bakeshop
Location: 3000 W 23rd Ave, Denver, CO 80211
Why It’s a Hit: If you’re looking for some good pastries and coffee… Petunia Bakeshop is the place to go. Located near Jefferson Park, this is the perfect place to order at the counter to grab something quick before you start the day
What to Order: The lattes are quality and they have such a wide variety of pastries that are all AMAZING. If you’re looking for something a little more hearty, they have a limited breakfast menu as well.
Odell’s Bagel
Location: 3200 Irving St, Denver, CO 80211
Why It’s a Hit: Located in Highland (one of my favorite neighborhoods in Denver), this New York-style bagel shop brings a traditional bagel-making technique to the city’s breakfast scene. There’s always a long line so order ahead or go early before exploring the rest of the Highland area.
What to Order: Other than their wide variety of bagels, they have a pretty simple menu where you can choose from schmears, bacon, egg, cheese, or their specialty – lox. As for drinks, if you’re looking for a tea or latte, they only have black coffee but there’s plenty of places nearby to walk to.
Odie B’s
Locations: 2651 W 38th Ave Denver, CO, 1350 40th St, Suite 180, Denver, CO
Why It’s a Hit: Odie B’s is a solid option if you’re looking for a breakfast sandwich in Sunnyside or RiNo. It’s a casual spot where you order at the counter, but is way better than your average grab-and-go.
What to Order: Any of the breakfast sandwiches are great, but I’m especially a fan of getting mine on the Kaiser roll. They’ve got solid plant-based options too — plus cocktails if you’re in brunch mode.
Rise & Shine
Locations: 5126 W 29th Ave, Denver, CO 80212, 76 S Pennsylvania St, Denver, CO 80209, 615 Garrison St, Lakewood, CO 80215
Why It’s a Hit: If you’re looking for good biscuits in Denver, Rise & Shine has it covered. It’s an easy spot to swing by in the morning, with a counter-service setup and a menu that keeps it simple.
What to Order: The biscuit sandwiches are the highlight — with a rotating daily special and the option to build your own, there’s something for everyone.
Hearth

Locations: 3617 W 32nd Ave, Denver, CO 80211, 2500 Lawrence St #200, Denver, CO 80205, 1300 E 17th Ave, Denver, CO 80218
Why It’s a Hit: Hearth is a small, minimalist bakery with a focus on high-quality pastries and bread. With locations in Highlands, RiNo, and Uptown, it’s a good stop if you’re after something quick but still delicious.
What to Order: Go for one of the seasonal pastries, variety of croissants or the kouign-amann if it’s on the menu. The sourdough is also great to grab for later.
Devil’s Food Bakery

Location: 1004 S Gaylord St, Denver, CO 80209
Why It’s a Hit: Right next to The Cookery, Devil’s Food Bakery is the perfect spot to kill time while you wait for a table — or swing by before or after a walk in Wash Park.
What to Order: The baked goods rotate often but the croissants and scones are always solid and the lattes are delish
Rosenberg’s Bagels
Locations: 725 E 26th Ave, Denver, CO 80205, Stanley Marketplace, 2501 Dallas St, Aurora, CO 80010, 942 S Monaco St Pkwy, Denver, CO 80224
Why It’s a Hit: Rosenberg’s is one of the best places for bagels in Denver, full stop. It’s quick, casual, and the quality holds up whether you’re grabbing a dozen to-go or ordering a full sandwich.
What to Order: The sausage, egg, and cheese is a go-to, but if you’re in the mood for something classic, go with lox on an everything bagel. Expect a bit of a wait during peak hours, but it moves quickly.
